Michael Boardman's Artwork on Display

Now through the end of February, artist Michael Boardman's artwork will be on display at the library. The collection, Year of the Bird: Avian Portraits & Field Sketches, features artwork centered around observing and sketching birds. According to Boardman, "The excitement of crossing paths with a wild animal is an experience I work to capture in my art, and lately that has be centered around observing and sketching birds. 2018 was declared the 'Year of the Bird,' and I certainly honored this with many birding excursions. Birds, especially raptors, bring the sense of another world, another consciousness, danger and mystery." Boardman's artwork is primarily created using watercolor and pencil.
