Our Summer Reading Program is open to students entering grades K-12 and will run from
June 30th to August 15th. This year, in addition to offering a traditional paper version of the book and activity tracker, you will also have the option to use the virtual tracking service Beanstack. Learn more about Beanstack HERE.

How do I take part in the summer reading program?
We are not using a traditional sign up list this year. All you need to do to participate is pick up a summer reading information packet. No matter how you plan to participate (on paper or online through Beanstack), everyone is encouraged to pick up a packet from the library. Packets will be available in front of the library starting June 27th.
How does the program work?
Basically, every book you read or activity you complete from a list we provide will earn you one raffle ticket that you can enter for a chance to win a prize. You'll use either your paper tracker form or Beanstack (it's your choice which one to use) to keep track of all the books and activities you complete. The more you participate, the more raffle tickets you'll earn. We will also be offering special take-home crafts and featuring a number of activities on our Facebook page throughout the summer, including Lego and STEM challenges.
Where do I get my tickets and how do I enter them for prizes?
We will be holding our prize drawing virtually this year, which means there will be no paper raffle tickets or raffle boxes. If you are using Beanstack, you will be awarded virtual raffle tickets for the books and activities you log. Once you earn tickets, you will be able to choose how many tickets you want to enter for the prizes we have available. You can go all in on one prize, or spread your tickets around.
If you are using a paper tracker form, simply return your completed tracker form in the book return box. The form will have a space for your name and contact number, as well as instructions for the staff about how many tickets you'd like to enter for each prize. Staff will manually add your name and raffle tickets to our virtual drawing.
You are welcome to complete as many tracker forms as you'd like. When you finish one, submit it in the book return box and then start a new one. New tracker forms can be picked up in front of the library or printed from our website HERE.
Do I have to finish the entire tracker form?
Nope! As long as you have at least one square filled in on the tracker form by the end of the summer reading program on August 15th, you are welcome to submit it for a chance to win a prize.
What prizes are available?
We have some great prizes! We will be giving away 12 passes to Story Land (valid through 2021), 10 gift cards to Barnes and Noble, a gift certificate to Dover Bowl for 1 hour of bowling for up to 6 people (shoe rentals included), and a prize pack from Hilltop Fun Center that includes mini golf, laser tag, and bungee jumper / rock wall passes.
