  • The lending period for items is three weeks, with one renewal permitted, unless otherwise noted.

  • Items must be returned with all pieces accounted for and in good condition.

  • Users will be charged the full replacement cost for loss, theft, or damage to items they borrow (beyond normal wear and tear).

Some of our newest additions to our game collection are:

Spot it! Disney

We are always looking to add more games to our collection. Donations of games and puzzles in good condition with all their pieces are welcome and appreciated!

Memory Care Kits

The library partnered with Berwick for a Lifetime to add Memory Care Kits to our collection. These kits
were funded by a Dementia Inclusion Grant that
BFAL received from the University of Maine
Agency on Aging.

We currently have three kits
available (an Early Stage Kit, a Middle Stage Kit, and a Late Stage Kit) to help people dealing with various levels of memory challenges. The kits include items like games, puzzles, books, and activities.

Handy Helper Tool Collection

Thanks to Berwick for a Lifetime and AARP, we now have the Handy Helper Tool Collection as part of our Library of Things.

The tool collection features adaptive tools to make everyday life a little easier for people with mobility or accessibility challenges. Items include a walker, jar openers, ergonomic gardening tools, seatbelt extenders, and lots more.

Some of our helper tools are for display purposes only, but most are available now for patrons to borrow and "try before you buy."

Visit the library to check out the items and get more information.
