Author Talk with Bob Keyes

Author Bob Keyes visited the library to discuss his new book The Isolation Artist: Scandal, Deception, and the Last Days of Robert Indiana. Artist Robert Indiana, the creator of the iconic LOVE sculpture, was a reclusive millionaire who died in 2018, leaving behind dark rumors and scandal, as well as an estate embroiled in lawsuits and accusations of fraud. Keyes' book details the bizarre true story of the artist’s final days, the aftermath, the deceptive world that surrounded him, and the inner workings of art as very big business.

Bob Keyes lives in Berwick, ME and is a nationally-recognized arts writer and storyteller with specialties in American visual arts and the contemporary culture of New England. Born and raised near Boston, he has spent more than 15 years writing about arts and culture for the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram. You can read his complete biography HERE.
