New Artist on Display at the Library

Our new artist on display at the library is one of our own staff members - Sara Gove!

Sara is a self taught graphic designer, photographer, artist, and Minecraft player. She is married with three children who love testing all her arts and crafts ideas. She finds inspiration for her artwork in science fiction and fantasy books, as well as from bright colors, water, movement, rainbows, and other patterns of nature. Most of Sara's art is process art, meaning she uses art to focus her mind, without trying to draw or paint anything in particular.

Sara is a “third culture kid” who grew up in Quito, Ecuador, where the beautiful Andes mountains and Latino culture inspired her lifelong love of color and shapes. Sara also lived in Kansas and Georgia, and spent one year in South Korea. She currently resides in New Hampshire with her family.

Patrons at Berwick Public Library are already familiar with Sara's artwork as she is the artist on staff at the library. She designs the take & make crafts as well as other artwork used for the library's programming, including the summer reading program and Maker Day. Sara even designed the library's colorful tree logo!

Postcards of Sara's art are available through https://www.zazzle.com/store/slightlyorganized
