What is the Maine Climate Plan?

Berwick Public Library hosted Roger Stephenson from the Union of Concerned Scientists to discuss climate change, the Maine Climate Plan, and how the Maine Climate Plan will impact Maine and towns like Berwick.


A former resident of South Berwick, Roger is the regional advocacy director for the Climate & Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In his role, he works with UCS analysts and scientists to engage UCS supporters, Science Network members, and community leaders to promote state and federal climate and clean energy policies. In 2011, he co-authored Strategies to Accelerate Climate and Energy Action at the Local Level. Mr. Stephenson earned a BA in zoology and an MS in wildlife biology from the University of New Hampshire. In his spare time he birds frequently in southern York County.
