Artwork of Paul Timmons on display at BPL

The artwork of Paul Timmons of Dover will be on display at the Berwick Public Library through August 31. Timmons has received a BFA and has a degree in Illustration from the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA. Of his work, Timmons said, “As an artist, I create whimsical worlds and the characters that occupy them, telling stories of irony, sometimes expressing humorous themes with a dark twist. My work is inspired by music, pop culture and classic children's books.”

He creates new characters and drawings of his own versions of classic children's tales such as "The Wizard of Oz", "Alice in Wonderland” and "Little Red Riding Hood.” He also said he is inspired by fashion illustrators and designers.

Using polymer clay, he has created a series of cyborg-snowmen called, “Snowbots” and more recently a series of small trolls called "Outofcontrolls."

Timmons has written and illustrated children's books and says he hopes to see them published.

Library hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Stop in and check out his beautiful creations!
