Wendy Thompson joined us for a Zoom meeting to answer question, give advice, and help families understand the role essays, standardized testing, interviews, extracurricular activities, sports, and other factors play in the admissions decisions colleges make.
Wendy Thompson has an extensive background in college admissions, including twelve years on the Bowdoin College staff, where she evaluated over 10,000 applications and over 20,000 essays, and conducted hundreds of interviews. She has the experience of reviewing these student’s applications with an expert’s eye and seeing each essay through the eyes of a college admissions officer. Her admissions career spans thirty years and she has been advising students in the college search, selection, and application process since 2003.
