As part of our summer reading program for teens and adults, we're asking participants to read at least one middle grade novel. Middle grade is the term used to refer to books aimed at children ages 8 to 12. Middle grade books often get overlooked by adult readers, and we're hoping to remedy that. If you're an adult, you might be surprised at the children's books offered today compared to when you were a child. Today's middle grade books are tackling serious issues along side everyday childhood adventures - and they are doing it beautifully!
