Author David W. Moore visited Noble High School to discuss his book Small Town, Big Oil in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Seacoast's inspirational underdog story. Back in 1973, three determined women led the battle against Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis in his quest to build an oil refinery in Durham, N.H.
The Berwick Public Library adult book group participated in this community read, along with D.A. Hurd Library in North Berwick, the Martha Sawyer Community Library in Lebanon, and the Noble High School Library.
