We're Growing Together this summer and celebrating our community!
Program Overview
The Growing Together summer reading program runs
from Friday, June 23rd through Friday, August 11th.
This program is open to all ages! Over the course of the summer, we'll have lots of special programs and activities happening at the library - be sure to stop by each week to see what's new!
No registration is required, and you are welcome to start participating at any point throughout the duration of the program. To get started, stop by the library to pick up a summer reading packet, or click on the box below to download a copy.
How the Summer Reading Program Works
We like to keep our summer reading program pretty simple - just read books and complete fun activities from a list we've created. For every book you read or activity you complete, you'll earn one ticket that you can enter for a chance to win the prize of your choice.
How much you want to participate is up to you. You can keep things low-key and just read books of your choosing all summer, or you can challenge yourself to complete the activities and reading challenges we provide.
Prizes
We'll be giving away lots of prizes at the end of this year's summer reading program! You can see all of this year's prizes by visiting our prize page. Winners will be contacted on Saturday, August 12th.
Programs and Activities
In addition to a full calendar of special events, we have lots of fun activities happening at the library all summer long!
Throughout our summer reading program we'll be working together to create a sticker mosaic. Each time you visit the library, you'll receive a sticker to add to our mosaic. The image we're creating will reveal itself over the course of the summer.
Do you enjoy puzzles? Join us this summer as we try to solve The Case of Berwick's Missing Bees! Each week we'll have a new puzzle available. Each puzzle will reveal a code word that will lead you to the culprit. Learn more about our bee mystery HERE.
Thanks to a generous donation from Jetpack Comics in Rochester, participants in the The Case of Berwick's Missing Bees will receive a comic book and a
$5 gift certificate to Jetpack Comics!
To claim your prize, simply show a staff member at the library your clue sheet with at least one code word solved.
Limit one comic book and gift certificate per person.
