summer adventure!
Program Overview
​
The Time Quest summer reading program runs
from Friday, June 20th through Friday, August 8th.
This program is open to all ages! Over the course of the summer, we'll have lots of special programs and activities happening at the library - be sure to stop by each week to see what's new!

No registration is required, and you are welcome to start participating at any point throughout the duration of the program. To get started, stop by the library to pick up a summer reading packet, or click on the box below to download a copy.
How the Summer Reading Program Works
We like to keep our summer reading program pretty simple - just read books and complete fun activities from a list we've created. For every book you read or activity you complete, you'll earn one entry into the prize drawing
of your choice.
Our prize drawings are virtual. That means you'll simply tally up all the entries you've earned over the course of the summer and tell us how many entries you want to put in your chosen prize drawing(s). We'll take care of the rest! You can go all in on one prize or spread your entries out across multiple prizes - it's up to you!
How much you want to participate in the summer reading program is up to you. You can keep things low-key and just read books of your choosing all summer, or you can challenge yourself to complete the activities and reading challenges we provide.

Programs and Activities

In addition to a full calendar of special events, we have lots of fun activities happening at the library all summer long!
Join us on an adventure through time to collect ingredients for a Preservation Potion!
​
The Librarian of Berwickia needs our help!
They're trying to brew a Preservation Potion to protect all the items in their care at the library, but in order to complete the potion, they need various items from throughout American history.
This summer, we’ll travel throughout time to find all the potion ingredients and return them to the Librarian of Berwickia so they can complete the potion.
Each week, we'll be visiting a different point in American history, and we’ll have different crafts, programs, and activities at the library inspired by the various time periods we’ll be visiting.
You can participate in this interactive summer adventure in-person at the library, on our website by clicking the story blocks on the left, or a combination of both.

Firefighter Storytime
Friday, June 27th at 10:30am
The Berwick Fire Department will be at the library (with their fire truck) to read a story, teach us about fire safety, and talk about all the gear they wear when they're fighting fires.
Police Officer Storytime
Friday, July 11th at 10:30am
Officer Fogg from the Berwick Police Department
will be joining us for a special storytime.
